Job Title: SEO & PPC Manager
Location: Darlington (hybrid – 3 days in office minimum)
Salary: From £30,000 depending on experience (full time)

About the Role
We are looking for a driven and data-led SEO & PPC Manager with a strong focus on paid advertising management and technical SEO. This role is ideal for someone with 2-4 years’ experience who wants to take real ownership of performance marketing and play a key role in generating high-quality leads for the our clients.
You’ll manage paid campaigns, carry out technical SEO improvements, measure performance through GA4/GTM, and work closely with the wider commercial team to ensure we’re consistently reaching the right audiences.
This is an opportunity to play a strategic role in shaping our digital growth while continuing to develop your skills across both PPC and SEO.
Key Responsibilities
Paid Advertising (PPC)
- Plan, build and manage Google Ads, Meta Ads, and other paid media campaigns
- Conduct ongoing optimisation including keyword strategy, audience targeting, bidding, creative testing and landing page recommendations
- Implement conversion tracking and ensure accurate attribution through GA4 and Google Tag Manager
- Produce performance reports and provide insight-led recommendations to improve lead quality and ROI
Technical SEO
- Conduct regular technical SEO audits
- Identify and resolve sitemap and site performance issues
- Support improvements to Core Web Vitals and overall site speed
- Optimise metadata, structured content and on-page elements based on SEO best practice
- Collaborate with developers to ensure technical changes are implemented effectively
Analytics & Reporting
- Monitor key KPIs across paid and organic channels, ensuring accurate data collection and reporting
- Build dashboards and reports to present results and opportunities clearly to internal teams
- Use insights to guide strategy across digital activity
Commercial Contribution
- Work closely with clients to improve lead quality and understand customer behaviour
- Assist in planning digital campaigns aligned with commercial objectives
- Keep up to date with industry changes, best practice and platform updates
Skills & Experience Required
Essential
- 2-4 years’ hands-on experience in digital marketing, including managing PPC campaigns and technical SEO auditing
- Working knowledge of Google Ads, Meta Ads, GA4, Google Tag Manager and Google Search Console
- Confidence using SEO tools (SE Ranking, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs/SEMrush etc.)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Desirable
- Experience in B2B and B2C lead generation
- Experience in Google Merchant Centre or other e-commerce aggregators
- Understanding of conversion rate optimisation and landing page best practice
- Experience with CMS platforms (e.g. WordPress, Laravel, Shopify etc.)
- Experience using reporting software such as Google Looker Studio
- Familiarity with lead tracking solutions such as WhatConverts
