Cloud Cuckoo was first established in 2009 in the beautiful market town of Yarm. With a love for interiors and all things girly, the owner Kim wanted to create a little haven to browse unique gifts for yourself, loved ones, and the home.
Every visit to this cosy gift shop greets you with a friendly atmosphere, beautifully wrapped presents, and the smell of sweet-scented candles in the air.
Offering a range of prices to allow anyone to come in and treat themselves without feeling guilty, it’s the perfect place to find gifts for family and friends or a statement piece to complement your home aesthetic.
Having had no website for her business previously, Kim wanted to introduce only the shop’s best selling products online initially.
Despite starting up a digital shopping presence, it was important to encourage local customers to still visit the shop in person to enjoy the full experience and range of products.
With this in mind, Cloud Cuckoo required a simple yet intuitive eCommerce website to mirror the shop’s branding, promote the most popular luxurious gifts on offer, and process orders and payments effectively.
This project included a bespoke website design tailored to the gift shop’s unique branding with a CMS built on the seamless and speedy WordPress platform, payment gateway integration, and appropriate shipping setup.
The end result was a simple yet pretty user-friendly website with easy access to the various luxury gifts available, with pages linking to Perfect Pouches, Jewellery, and Wax Melts.
The integrated payment gateway and shipping set-up makes for a straightforward customer experience on the Cloud Cuckoo website.
