With a mission to invest every penny to build active and healthy communities, Tees Active is a leading charitable trust that provides sport, leisure, and wellbeing services to communities in partnership with Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council.
Tees Active are constantly passionate about the power of physical activity and strongly believe that everyone should have equal opportunities to enjoy a wide range of health benefits associated with leading a healthy and active lifestyle.
Their values include injecting energy into everything they do, a commitment to engaging partners, workforce and customers, striving for excellence and exceeding expectations, and enriching lives.
It was time to overhaul the main Tees Active website. The digital presence was required to align with the charitable leisure management organisation’s vision and showcase the various services on offer.
To achieve this, we collaborated with the Tees Active in-house team who had created the front-end design, which seamlessly integrated and converted with the WordPress CMS we developed.
The aims of the new website were to drive advanced bookings, encourage users to join products and services, and provide a seamless customer journey that offers accessible information for all users on a variety of devices.
We also wanted to build stronger communication for Tees Active Limited’s social objectives, company values, and community engagement output to clearly highlight their strategic business aims to key partners and stakeholders.
Finally, we were striving to increase awareness of Tees Active Limited’s less well-known services. When planning and preparing for the website redesign we kept in mind their target audience; families, parents seeking clubs, schools and educational groups, health and fitness users, job seekers, partners, and prospective partners.
The end result was a fully responsive website design with a multi-tiered menu structure that clearly manages the various information and pages available.
Key areas include Venues, Things To Do, Swimming, About Us and Recruitment and Training.
